'61 Mini-reunion Planned 27 Jan - 1 Feb 2010 in Orlando, FL

 NOTE – This update is essentially the same as the 15 Dec update.  Main item is missing data for the Attendee Response Table.  Please send that if you have not already done so. 

Updated information is provided below.   

Here are some things you now need to do:

1. If you have not made your hotel reservations you should do so now.
2. Send (or resend) me the info table if your preferences do not show up on the attendee response table below – Note some data not in for some people – missing golf data for some golfers.
3. Send checks for social membership and golf membership if appropriate per descriptions below. 
   1. If you are selecting something other than full social package or full golf package send me the list of activities you are participating in and I will let you know how much you owe for just those activities. 
   2. All deposits are refundable up to 72 hours ahead of the event. 
   3. Cash only – no stimulus vouchers, food vouchers, bailout vouchers, health coverage coupons, etc.
4. Make checks payable to B. Madoff, correction, Gary Hyde. 
   1. Mail to 112 Cherry Hill Circle, Longwood, FL 32779.
5. Send me your entrée preference for the Sunday dinner at Maison de Jardin – fish, pork, or beef. (see menu below) – Note – still missing some of these.
6. If you are playing golf send me your handicap, index, or average score. – Note – missing some handicap or index or score data.

We would like to make a special invitation to surviving spouses to come.  Room sharing could be arranged.  There is also a two bedroom suite that could be shared.

We have really good line up for courses.  Three very good and very different courses.  Following is short summary with links to their home pages.  All within 15 or 20 minutes of the hotel.  Games and prizes TBA.

• Very scenic.  Used for pre-qual course by pros, in fact one going on couple of weeks ago. 
• Rated top 100 in country by one golf magazine.
• Narrow with lot of water and woods
• 0900 shotgun
• drinks/lunch and prizes follow in club house 

• Friday

• Timacuan.  http://www.golftimacuan.com/golf/proto/golftimacuan/course/course.htm
• This is great course, consistently rated one of tops in central Florida.
• Recently been overseeded and in great shape now.
• Some of this is more open than Magnolia, but quite a bit of water, sand and narrow fairways. 
• 0900 shotgun
• Drinks/lunch and prizes follow in club house 

• Sunday

• Sweetwater.  http://sweetwater-countryclub.com/Golf.cfm
• Not as difficult as the others, but narrow and plays moderately tough, however does not eat as many balls.
• Should be in good shape in Jan after green and fairway work done this summer
• 1000 shotgun

All suites now have the new luxurious bedding collection with cotton rich linens, thicker, comfy mattresses and plush, upgraded sheets. Each suite also has a fully equipped kitchen, desk, living area, sofa bed, iron/ironing board, hairdryer, coffee maker, and most with a fireplace. (HBO and High Speed Internet)

KING STUDIO SUITE -- $79.00 plus tax

Open suite with approximately 630 square ft. and a king size bed.

DOUBLE STUDIO --$89.00 plus tax-

Open suite with approximately 680 square ft. and two queen size beds.

PENTHOUSE* -- $99.00 plus tax-

Two-story loft with downstairs king bed and bath enclosed with two French doors, upstairs bedroom with king bed and bath. (2 bedroom/ 2 bathroom)

*Penthouse is located on the second floor with access to stairs only.  No elevators on property.
